The AyaQuest curriculum.
Every surah in AyaQuest is built the same way: a setup, a moment of rising action, a wonder, a real moral choice, a resolution, and a reflection that lands the lesson in your child's life. After the story, a comprehension quiz checks understanding. Then your child can ask Aya anything they're curious about — about the story, the words, the world.
We don't skip the hard parts. Yusuf's brothers really do throw him in the well. Pharaoh really does refuse to listen. Ibrahim really does question. The Quran doesn't soften these moments, and neither do we — but we tell them at a child's pace, with a child's vocabulary, and with a parent reading along if they want to.

Begin where the Quran begins. The shortest, most foundational surahs — the ones a child likely already hears at home or in prayer.

How long does it take?
Each surah lesson is a 5–10-minute story. Most parents find their child wants to do one lesson at a time, often as part of a bedtime routine. The Walk-with-Aya mode (a narrated bedtime version of each surah) is designed exactly for that. The Starter Islands region typically takes a few weeks of relaxed nightly play to complete.
Does AyaQuest teach Arabic recitation or tajwid?
Arabic surah names appear alongside English, with audio pronunciation, so children meet the script as something familiar. Recitation and tajwid are not the focus — meaning and reflection are. If your child also studies recitation with a teacher, AyaQuest gives meaning to the verses they recite.
