What is AyaQuest?
A Quran learning app for kids ages 7–9 (with tiers for 5–7 and 10–12). Each surah is a 5-10-minute illustrated story. A kid-safe AI helper named Aya answers what your child wonders. Parents see every conversation in a private dashboard.
What ages is AyaQuest for?
Primarily 7–9. Vocabulary, tone, and depth tune for 5–7 and 10–12 too. Younger readers get shorter beats and more illustrations; older readers get richer context and reflection prompts.
Is Aya safe for children?
Aya is bounded to a curated library of Quran stories and mainstream tafsir. It never browses the open web, never goes off-script, never speculates on rulings, and never depicts the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ or the other prophets. Every Aya message is visible to you in the parent dashboard.
Are the prophets or the Ka'bah depicted figuratively?
No. We don't depict the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the other prophets, angels, or the Ka'bah's interior figuratively. Aya herself is a stylized crescent moon — a symbolic helper.
How much does AyaQuest cost?
Free to try. AyaQuest Pro is $8.99/month with a one-week free trial, or $71.99/year (save ~33%). Apple Family Sharing supported. Starter Islands surahs are free forever, no credit card.
Is there a parent dashboard?
Yes. Full conversation log with Aya, every lesson completed, time spent, mastery progress per surah. You can flag any Aya message with one tap.
Does AyaQuest replace a teacher or madrasah?
No. AyaQuest is a companion that gives meaning at the child's level — not an authority on rulings, not a replacement for a teacher, not a substitute for recitation lessons. It complements the work your child does with a human teacher or weekend Islamic school.
Does it teach Arabic recitation or tajwid?
No. AyaQuest is meaning-first. Arabic surah names appear alongside English with audio pronunciation, but recitation and tajwid are best taught by a human teacher or dedicated tools.
Does AyaQuest work offline?
Story content is cached on device once viewed, so an interrupted Wi-Fi connection won't break a lesson in progress. Aya chat needs a connection because it's live AI.
Are there ads or in-app purchases for kids?
No ads. No tracking. No in-app purchases for children. There is one Pro subscription product (monthly or yearly), and that's it. Children cannot buy anything from inside the app.
Can siblings share one subscription?
Yes. A single Pro subscription supports multiple child profiles on the same device or iCloud account. Apple Family Sharing lets a Pro yearly plan be shared across everyone in your Family Sharing group.
What devices does AyaQuest run on?
iPhone and iPad running iOS 17.0 or later. Android support is on the roadmap — sign up at hello@ayaquest.ai if you want to be notified.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Cancel anytime in Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions. Your child keeps access until the end of the current period, then drops to the free tier (Starter island stays unlocked).
How do I refund a purchase?
AyaQuest subscriptions are billed by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com or email hello@ayaquest.ai and we'll help.
